Growing up in Kansas gave owner Andrea Gardner the good old midwest work ethic and patience to wait for months or years to see her interior architecture projects realized. Lamzy Divey started as a single piece of jewelry that was conceived, begun and finished in one evening. The joy of quick turn-around was addictive, and now the result of Andrea’s creative process can be in your hands in hours, not years.
Where did the name ‘Lamzy Divey’ come from? It’s taken from a whimsical song written in 1943, and even though the lyrics are written phonetically as nonsensical words, if you listen closely you’ll catch the meaning.
Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey,
A kiddley divey too, wooden shoe.
-Drake, Hoffman, Livingston
(Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy,
A kid’ll eat ivy too, wouldn’t you?)
